It’s been a good day. I got all the odds & sods jobs done bar one & only because I couldn’t figure out from online information if something will work automatically or not, so it may be done anyway. I’ll ring tomorrow when the holiday is over. I’ve even got the lawns mowed & once again all is nice & tidy. Still more things to do & picked up & processed another lot of feijoas which included some I already had on the bench.
I found my old camping 🏕️ gear, tent & everything at the back of the old wardrobe in the garage. It’s supposed to be a 5 person tent, so perfect for 2 or 3 people 😂. All my camping cookwear was there as well. So that’s inside & will be given a good scrub when I do the dishes tonight. Then I’ll try to find out if anyone wants it, or maybe even keep it myself as it will work on induction, even my old whistling kettle.
The sun is off the back garden now & it’s getting quite chilly outside. My little Dogwood 🌳 is nearly naked, just a few leaves left, but it’s still doing well & I see buds where the flowers will appear. Can’t wait for the new growing season & to watch it continue its growth. I’m seriously considering getting another one for the front area. I think it would be perfect even though the falling leaves are messy, good for the garden though. #BusyDay #GoodDay #Garden

Another day that I’ve quite enjoyed & got a number of things done. Catching up with my older sister is always good & we talk about everything under the sun & have a few laughs. Today most of the focus of our chat was about the visit by our younger sister in 3 weeks time. Thinking about it I honestly can’t remember the last time we 3 got together. It was definitely sometime before Covid, so a long time. We are definitely the long & the short of it. Elder sister used to be 5’10, I’m 5’3” & the youngest sister is 5’1”. We are a slope downwards 🤣😂.
Into Kmart on the way home & I got my dehydrator. Nothing is done with it yet, I’ve read the instructions & I’ve washed all the trays, they’ll need overnight to dry properly. Then it has to be on for an hour to remove any residue (odours I guess) from production. After it cools again I can begin. Which is good because I gave half of the feijoas I had to my sister. I’ll need some more. Although I could use one tray for tomatoes 🍅😃. My kitchen bench is full right now as I also have sourdough proving & that’ll be there overnight too. Small area issues 🤷🏼‍♀️. #Sunday #BusyDay.

I’ve done everything I wanted to do today. Had a wonderful swim at the pool for an hour or so. Dropped into the SES on the way home & they gave me a dozen bags to put sand in that my son in law will fill for me. I’ll only need half filled probably though. Got home & changed clothes to head out & visit my sister in hospital to learn she’s being discharged today, which is great but no resolution to her problems which is mainly due to chronic conditions, her age etc. I also know it’s very likely to keep happening.
Stopped in at Dan Murphy on the way home to grab a bottle of wine for the weekend & then to the local greengrocers for some fresh veg & salad stuff. Nearly 2pm before I got home for a small lunch of a crumpet with Vegemite to tide me over until dinner.
Satisfied with the day & pretty weary now. #BusyDay.
