I finally finished this upgrade this morning. There was a new check that I had to fiddle around with to get working and then of course #Nomad wanted to battle with me. And then that was all on top of #InnoDB being rude as well!

But the most powerful managerial coaching actually happens not in scheduled sessions, but in the everyday moments when work is actually getting done. By asking more questions, prompting people to think through solutions, and pausing before providing answers, you can develop your team without extending your already long days. To make the most of your time: Use a bridging structure to connect your guidance to the employee’s own thinking and experience (ask a question, give guidance, ask how they’ll implement it); learn a set of good questions to begin with; practice being quiet to give your team member a chance to think and speak up; and focus on the highest-impact coaching moments.
