To be fair, it's probably a data or display issue, and it just *feels* like your rail replacement bus is doing this. #Melbourne #bustitution
It's not great that some of the busiest rail lines are shut down on busy weekends like this.
Authorities need to ensure there are enough buses and staff deployed, there's accurate timely information, and on-road priority for buses to help people keep moving. #Melbourne #MetroTrains #bustitution
@xssfox @rfc6919 The only #bustitution right now that I can see is the Stony Point line, and it appears they plot the actual bus route - note the diversion to Hastings Station. A few months ago they added realtime tracking for replacement buses - it might have been done as part of that.
@rfc6919 @xssfox It is bus replacements yes. It’s common for them to run from Burnley, so they pop up in the data sometimes. #bustitution

Want to guess what absolute genius decided to stay over in the city last night without checking whether his train line home is running this weekend?

For my #Melbourne western suburbs friends: there's a series of #bustitution Werribee/Williamstown line shutdowns in the evenings this week, but this weekend and *all day next Mon, Tue, Wed* the Sunbury line joins in the fun. Might want to WFH if you can!

It’s a bit rough catching the Werribee line in the evening this month. #PublicTransport #bustitution
All in the name of progress, but it’s not going to be fun on the Sunbury line during January. #Melbourne #MetroTunnel #bustitution
For rail replacement buses, sometimes they cover the area with wayfinding signs, information, and put staff at stops. Other times like this there's virtually nothing.
And despite rail buses running all night on weekends, this stop is not a 24 hour Bus Zone.
