When looking at resumes for #hiring, have whoever does the initial processing make a copy where they replace the names of candidates with numbers, and scrub any information that might give race, sex, gender, disability, anything that would be illegal to hire or not hire based on, while doing whatever preliminary lookups they need to beforehand. Then they hand those copies off to whoever takes them more thorough look before the actual interview. This will prevent them from having any semblance of discrimination, which not only helps with #diversity and #legal compliance, but creates policy with a paper trail that can be used as a shield in any potential #discrimination #lawsuit...
...like the one this hotel is now facing because they apparently weren't willing to hire someone with a name like "Dwight Jackson". Enjoy dealing with the #EEOC.
