The Hairy Bushviper (Atheris hispida) is named for its extremely keeled scales, which give it a bristly, almost dragon-like appearance. They are found in the forests of Central and East Africa. Recent research has shown that they possess a potent neurotoxic venom; no Antivenom exists. #reptile #reptiles #snakes #snake #viper #bushviper #atherishispida
