Some pages from my sketch booklet number 21, that I already filled a while ago. I bound it myself, using different colored papers in various shades of gray and blue, that were basically just leftovers.

I had a lot of fun filling the pages and seeing, how my drawings and the colours of the papers interacted. I experimented with different media and materials: paper cutouts, felt-tip pens, markers – and of course my beloved coloured pencils. I just followed my intention and drew what was in my head and what made fun, and that is the result. You might see that I was thinking a lot about the relation between plants and humans these days. But there are also some abstract compositions.

My sketch booklet number 20 is filled! One of my goals resulting from the sketch booklet before was to draw more sketch-like and less perfectionist. I guess that didn’t work out, many of my sketches still look very finished, but, well ... I just followed my intention and drew what was in my head and what made fun, and that is the result. You can see that I was working on a project about future visions and dreams. This is where these urban utopian sceneries come from (I wish I had a rooftop garden and such a big slide at my house). I also started to draw plants more often, in the garden, on the balcony, at the lake’s shore, and that was very soothing for me.

The media I used were different kinds of fineliners, coloured pencils and brush pens.

My sketch booklet number 19 is filled! One of my goals for last year was to draw more in my freetime, and I think that worked quite well. I drew less my surroundings and what I was seeing (though I missed it a bit), but instead more what was inside of my head. As you might notice, I was thinking a lot about the relationship between nature and humans. Some of these sketches turned out a bit too finished, they could be more sketch-like. So this might be my goal for this year: to continue drawing in my sketchbooks in a more loose style, with less perfectionism.
This booklet did travel to Luzern in Switzerland, to Stralsund and Nürnberg. The media I used were different types of fineliners, brush pens, coloured pencils aswell as ink.

In den letzten Jahren bin ich selten unbeschadet an einem Set #Buntstifte vorbeigekommen, weil mir mein Kopf einredete, dies sei jetzt bestimmt das richtige, um mehr zu malen. War natürlich Unsinn, da allesamt aus unteren Preisklassen stammten. 149 Stück sind so zusammengekommen 😉 Ich will alle nun einem Kindergarten schenken. Mal sehen, ob Interesse besteht.
