My particular thing with these buns is to make them with more interesting and varied sigils on top. Not a cross to be seen on mine.
But I don't object to the tradition and will happily eat other bakers' good ones.

*Note to self* next time portion the dough for the buns in even smaller portions. Even the very last one that after having them rest looked ok-ish in size is basically 1.5 the size it should be now that they're in the oven. The largest one is 2.5 but it also was already kinda 2x in size after resting.
