git-bug is a distributed bug tracker embedded in git. It uses git's internal storage so no files are added in your project.

Matt Cengia agreed in 2023: Discord has most of the same problems as Slack, the sole permitted client has flashy distractions, searching history is difficult, and exporting history is infeasible. Describes pros and cons of several alternatives, including Slack, IRC, XMPP, Mattermost, Signal, Discourse, and issue trackers of GitHub and other forges. 3/4

Dave Cheney went further in 2017: Please stop using chat in general for open-source communities. Even a free protocol like IRC, XMPP, or Matrix disadvantages people with a full-time job and people in less-privileged time zones. Use issue trackers, mailing lists, newsgroups, and other asynchronous forums instead. 2/4

We are pleased to announce we have rolled out a new, more intuitive issue template for reporting bugs or requesting features in NVDA. The form is still on GitHub & still requires the same information as previously, but now uses individual fields rather than one long edit box with comments. You can explore here (Note it IS live so if you submit an issue, it will be submitted as an actual issue): https://github.com/nvaccess/nvda/issues/new/choose

Un bugtracker hébergé directement dans le repository Git (grâce à Git notes, me semble-t-il). C'est un super moyen d'avoir des projets git vraiment portables https://github.com/git-bug/git-bug #git #bugtracker #portable #opensource #software #hack

🥳🎉 "Git Bug" is here, folks! Because who doesn't dream of embedding a bug tracker right into their version control system? 🙃 Welcome to the future, where every bug is a feature, and every feature is... just another bug. 🚀🔧

Millionen Zeilen Code aber nicht einen Test. Wo startet man?
Eine berechtigte Frage, oder?

Aber wie gehen wir am besten vor?

Wir haben auf der einen Seite massiv viele Zeilen Code, aber eben keinerlei Test. Das genau ist in viel

Today in bugs I always hope to never run across: #Corruption of the save state of #minecraft worlds. Turns out, Thermal Series has (had?) a #bug, where machine upgrades don't mark the chunk they're in as modified; effectively voiding the upgrade item if directly exiting the world after applying it.

Aside: #Discord Channels are not a #BugTracker :( :( :( This took me far too long to uncover - it could have been a simple DuckDuckSearch away.
