My oldest daughter at one time was a Child Protection Services Supervisor at the #BSO Broward Sheriff’s Office in Fort Lauderdale, Florida,located in the county north of Miami-Dade County, where this horrible situation was discovered. A young child wandering alone in an apartment complex. When police were called, he explained that his mother left for overnight stays at her boyfriend with very little food that he often shared with a caged dog who had no food nor water.
