WOW....I am beat! Last night I hosted a grueling 5.6 mile technical trail race in my local woods reservation. The work leading up to it was, to put it mildly, exhausting.

Tuesday was five hours of trail grooming on a section of trail in extreme heat and humidity in pants and boots. Yesterday morning I spent another five hours marking the trail, again in extremely humid 90*F temps only to return later in the evening to run it.

The course definitely crushed people's dreams of success and it was very well liked. Plenty of insane hills and boulder scrambling.

The best compliment I received was from someone in 3rd or 4th place who, while passing me, gave me a dirty look as our eyes locked said, "This course is fucking hell!". I smiled and replied, "Awesome! Thank you!"

That made my night.

This morning I woke up feeling like I was hit by a truck.
