Beetles of the genus #Cheironitis (#Scarabaeinae) are characterized by a strikingly #robust #morphology in the #adults, while the larvae usually resemble cockchafer grubs. These are #dungbeetles that exhibit #broodcare. They are widespread in #arid regions of the #Palearctic and #Afrotropical regions. YuHeng Wang et al. It seems like a good day for this sweet girl. It seems like people either love or hate this group. A couple wandering spiders are known to produce enough neurotoxin to be harmful to humans, but most would be like a mild bee sting. Even after lifting the bark she hid her eggs under, she just wanted to protect them. She did chase a little, but I was quite close trying to get a picture of her face.
