Really pleased with this. This is probably the sharpest Instax Mini macro photo I have taken so far. (Remember the scan is probably an order of magnatude larger than the print.) I have the new dioptre eyepiece on the prism finder and can see now, so I don't need to keep swapping back to the WLF to focus (previous eyepiece was +0.5 which is the wrong type for short sighted and explains why I could never focus properly using it.

This is a remake of a previous Instax macro photo I had taken previously, but using a black flag above the watch to eliminate reflections obscuring the dial this time.

I had to google the exposure, since the autoexposure was way overexposed, even with full exposure compensation dialled in on the prism. As you may or may not be able to tell (if you can read my hand writing) this was 1/500th at f8 (with the 2x teleconverter that was effectively f16).

I think this might be sharper than the previous macro instant photo I posted. I shot this at f8, which coincides with the old rule of thumb that a lens is sharpest two stops down from maximum.

Using the instax back with the prism finder is much less frustraiting when the camera is on a tripod. When shooting hand held I usually remove the prism to eject the print. I think I have the knack of ejecting the prints now, I haven't had a jam in the last two boxes of film.

The prism finder has the wrong dioptre eyepiece on it for my eyes, I have to remove it and use the loupe on the WLF to get good focus. Then swap back to get TTL metering (and auto exposure). I've ordered a new eyepiece from eBay that's the closest to my prescription.

Think is quite possibly the sharpest instant macro photo I have captured so far from Fuji Instax Mini film. This was taken at an aperture of f11 (f8 may be sharper, I will have to test).

Using the instax back with the prism finder is much less frustraiting when the camera is on a tripod. When shooting hand held I usually remove the prism to eject the print.
