I went to a rare plants event in Fuchū on the weekend and picked up this very cool Billbergia ‘Obi-Wan’.

The opposite hybrid (where the other variety is the pollen donor) is called ‘Darth Vader’.

Do they fight like betta fish if you put them next to each other? 🤔

I also got a new pinguicula to replace the one I killed earlier this year 😅

Nine years ago I was given a bromeliad by a coworker. She’s gone now, but I think of her every time a pup blooms. This one just did.
