Just seen what I think was a broad-bodied chaser laying eggs in my pond. I've never seen such a frightening looking insect. It's big. And had yellowish "don't mess with me" markings.
Of course it had gone by the time I fetched my camera.

Das Weibchen des Plattbauchs sieht dem nahe verwandten Vierfleck ähnlich, ist aber wesentlich heller, weist einen breiteren Hinterleib auf uns hat keine Flecken in der Mitte der Flügel-Vorderkanten. Das Tier hier ist frisch emergiert, wie der Glanz der Flügel zeigt.
