I didn’t want to do it but I finally brought out the water pistol to try to keep Viktor away from elderly Doreen. I know you’re not supposed to do this as it just gets them to fear you, but honestly, it’s just kind of hilarious because it startles him enough to stop him, but it doesn’t upset him. I only squirt him when he’s actively about to pounce on Doreen, though; I feel like this singular unpleasant deterrent should only be associated with this one action so he Pavlov’s dogs this crap. Otherwise, I’ve found nothing short of picking him up stops him from jumping on her and I really don’t want picking-up to be a punishment. So here’s hoping I don’t traumatize the boy with water! Yay! Cat children!
