It's not my style to post or spoil movie endings, but when it comes to Brief Encounter I do as I please to highlight this masterpiece of the British stiff upper lip-class. (Lean, 1945)
Cinema usually does not need 30 cuts/minute, a grit-McGuffin will do just fine to move the story and the audience. (mind the expressive b/w and at first sight tranquil camerawork)
