today i cycled from bike shop to bike shop to buy a litelok (500g small bike lock) only to learn that due to brexit, they are no longer available in europe.

I think the EU 's reported project to fingerprint visiting Brits a crashing mistake. It sends a deeply hostile message, underpinned by sinister stasi overtones of data abuse & breach of privacy. Frankly, the sort of pointless-but-repressive policy that might have emanated from our very own home-grown geniuses the #EnglishNationalists formerly the Tory Party. Had we still been a member state, we might have vetoed it but hey we voted to be a third party nation, so suck it up compadres

Die Idee für diesen Sommer war nach Schottland zu fahren (alles sehr spontan), bis uns gestern auffiel, dass wir dafür Reisepässe benötigen und diese 60€ (!) pro Person kosten. Expressbestellung nochmal 32€ Aufschlag pro Person, also 92€ pro Person nur damit wir dort einreisen dürfen, weil seit dem verkackten Brexit der Perso nicht mehr ausreicht.

Wird dann wohl doch Schweden oder Norwegen. 🥲
