which explains the risks for food production due to persistent wave patterns over important agricultural areas in the US, Eastern Europe and East Asia. The risk is increased due to #climatechange, obviously. But the paper looked at past affected global breadbaskets and quantifies the past #croploss due to "wave-5 or wave-7 events", as they call them.
