"Apart from its sheer size, the major challenge of the operation was to harmonize the deconstruction of the work between the windows constituting the façade of the building. The artist was seeking to create a dynamic work, and plays on the repetition of the square shape, associating motifs mainly in shades of blue, accentuated by a white grid pattern. Apart from azulejos, an essential element of his style, Add Fuel takes his inspiration here from graphic elements observed during his visits to Paris."

In 2008, he first began studying the traditional forms of azulejo tiles, taking their patterns and palette as the starting point for much of his work.
