Race day again! Kid ran the 10 mile at Goldy’s Run on the U of MN campus. We spectated and enjoyed the sun at The Bank.
We all recover differently, I’ll opt for warming up with a #boulevardBrewing Bourbon Barrel Aged Quad
Sweet cherry bourbon lead, tart caramel and vanilla bitters finish. Awesome!

Switching to Espresso Martini #stout
Big coffee with a sweet milk stout body. Smooth and tasty. Now I’m barking up the right tree!
We got a new dog so I thought this beer might be good based on the label.
#boulevardBrewing Wood Baron barrel-fresh ale is not this man’s best friend. A light body porter, smooth with a malty oaked nose. Hints of bourbon and a mild hoppy bite finish. It’s just…odd…and hard to place. Saw it rated “funky” on Untappd. Seems to fit.
Hoping it’s not Faux Spring #2, but is sure is a gorgeous day. Let the sun shine in!
#boulevardBrewing Bourbon Barrel Quad is an excellent lunch companion. Bright ruby red, tasty sharp tart cherry lead with bourbon and bitters on the finish.

Carrot Cake Belgian-style strong ale.
Malty sweet Belgian with vanilla and a light cherry note. Not a lot of carrot, a boozy finish with a hint of spice. A nice winter warmer!
It’s 1 degree above zero and feels like -15 and #itsAlwaysStoutSeason. Dinner is left over brisket and a #boulevardBrewing barrel-aged Baltic Porter, aged in red wine and bourbon barrels
Beautiful! The red wine flavors and tannins come through with a hint of bourbon finish.
They changed the label so I thought it was different! Turns out it’s the same - #boulevardBrewing Whiskey Barrel Stout
Decent oak and whisky lead, moderately sweet dark sugars. Still has a flat finish even super fresh.
It’s definitely a Belgian #beer kind of night. This is so delicious.
