Il Tempo: Sandrider Experience il simulatore da impazzire
Dacia porta le emozioni della Dakar direttamente in concessionaria con Sandrider Experience, il simulatore a grandezza naturale del bolide che sta dominando il Mondiale di rally raid. Un'esperienza virtuale basata sulla piattaforma del ‘sim racing' Assetto corsa, resa però reale in uno spazio fisico equipaggiato con tante delle componenti della macchina vera, come ruote, sedili, leva del cambio e luci, che reagiscono alla pressione dei pedali. Dacia Sandrider Experience permetterà di rivivere le sfide di Sébastien Loeb, nel torneo itinerante che partirà il 9 aprile da Roma e si snoderà in 31 shoowroom del marchio per tutto il 2026, mettendo in palio un viaggio a Los Angeles per gli Oscar dei videogiochi. «Sandrider ci sta dando tante soddisfazioni nel rally raid, così – spiega Rosa Sangiovanni, direttore marketing di Dacia Italia - abbiamo voluto unire il mondo del motorsport con la passione del mondo racing per i videogiochi. Ne è nata una vera e propria esperienza immersiva, attraverso la quale contiamo di raggiungere una nuova audience».
L'obiettivo fissato da Dacia con questa iniziativa è fidelizzare una fetta di mercato più giovane rispetto a quella over 45 in cui è già leader, ampliando il proprio bacino di riferimento rispetto a quello in cui oggi è leader, la clientela over 45 che guarda al marchio per la sua razionalità. «Vogliamo sfruttare l'onda del successo di Dacia Sandrider nelle competizioni per veicolare alcuni concetti propri del brand Dacia - afferma Guido Tocci, il managing director di Dacia Italia - e che ci vengono riconosciuti dai clienti, come la robustezza la solidità, la sicurezza e l'affidabilità di tutta la gamma Dacia».
Alfieri del progetto alla presentazione di Roma sono stati Sébastien Loeb ed Édouard Boulanger, Vincitori dell'ultimo Rally-raid del Portogallo e attuali leader della classifica mondiale. «Abbiamo fatto un lavoro incredibile, sembra reale. Ho fatto un piccolo test - racconta il 9 volte iridato Loeb - e c'è un bel feeling». «È stata una sorpresa molto positiva - aggiunge il navigatore Boulanger - tanto che mia figlia mi ha chiesto di portarlo a casa».
Sandrider Experience: the insane simulator
Dacia brings the emotions of the Dakar rally directly to dealerships with Sandrider Experience, a life-size simulator of the race car that’s dominating the World Rally Raid Championship. A virtual experience based on the Assetto Corsa racing platform, it’s made real in a physical space equipped with many of the real car’s components, such as wheels, seats, gear lever, and lights, which respond to the pressure of the pedals. Dacia Sandrider Experience will allow you to relive the challenges of Sébastien Loeb, in the touring tournament that will start on April 9th from Rome and unfold in 31 dealerships throughout 2026, offering a trip to Los Angeles as the prize for the video game awards. “Sandrider is giving us a lot of satisfaction in rally raid, so – explains Rosa Sangiovanni, marketing director for Dacia Italy – we wanted to unite the world of motorsport with the passion for racing in video games. We’ve created a real immersive experience, through which we hope to reach a new audience.”
Dacia’s objective with this initiative is to retain a younger segment of the market than the over 45 demographic in which it already holds a leadership position, expanding its customer base beyond the current over 45 clientele who view the brand for its rationality. “We want to leverage the success of Dacia Sandrider in competitions to convey concepts that are recognized by Dacia customers, such as robustness, solidity, safety, and the reliability of the entire Dacia range – says Guido Tocci, managing director of Dacia Italy.
The champions of the project at the Rome presentation were Sébastien Loeb and Édouard Boulanger, winners of the last Portugal Rally-raid and current leaders of the world ranking. “We’ve done an incredible job, it feels real. I did a short test – recounts the nine-time world champion Loeb – and there’s a good feeling.” “It was a very positive surprise – adds navigator Boulanger – to the point that my daughter asked me to take it home.”
