Ah #BossHogg we hardly knew you... BTW why would Trump need to use the IRS to locate immigrants who are paying taxes while receiving no benefits for doing so? Does paying taxes strike YOU as criminal? Now ask yourself who DOESN'T pay their share in taxes and truly mooches from the taxpayer.

Also, because #TimMartin partly named his J.D. #Wetherspoons chain of pubs after #BossHogg, they are indirectly named after Confederate President (and, obviously, slaveowner) Jefferson Davis.

Today I learned:

1. #BossHogg from #TheDukesOfHazzard’s full name was Jefferson Davis Hogg, after the Confederate President.

2. In an episode of the show, Hogg has an identical β€œgood” twin brother called Abraham Lincoln Hogg (!) played by the same actor dressed in black.

3. Boss Hogg was played by Sorrell Booke, a Jewish actor from Buffalo NY, who was married to Miranda Knickerbocker (!), daughter of Pulitzer Prize-winning anti-Nazi foreign correspondent β€œRed” Knickerbocker.
