Borscht - Perpetual yearning of my heart.
November is never complete for me without it. All borscht is good borscht in my mind, but for my own it has to have beef, caraway and lemon, but if I ever grow white sugar beets I will make the Hutsul version with white beets, pickled garlic and pork cuz it's my roots and it sounds delish. The local beets are beauties this year.
