Looking forward to the second (officially annual!) #borednetmicroexpo this weekend! I'll be hanging out at the Conejo Valley Makerspace booth (https://www.cvmake.org) which might just be the area's newest Ham Club (KN6CVM). Lots of expansion and new machine tools coming to the space over the next few weeks, come and say hi!

I’ll be bringing my PVC+foil tape loop antenna to the expo. Based on John Portune's (W6NBC) design. Inexpensive (20-30$?) way to get into an effective-ish loop antenna. This community has been great for getting to know folks you’d never otherwise run into. In the earlier days of #theborednet, Louis “Bill” Pistachio, KF6GJH “Good Job Honey”, was one of the wild characters I looked forward to hearing every morning. While I never got to meet him in person because of his illness, I’ll always remember his warmth and relentless cheerfulness in the face of trying times. #remeberingsk #borednetmicroexpo
