Okay. I have sobbed my way through two of the final three chapters. I really like these people.
Enough. If you love soap opera, go read this. It's even better my second time around, and I love that in a book.
I tend to race through adventure stories the first time, to Find Out! So, those writers who are so good you love it more the second time, because you read more slowly and take in the depths, and the nuances, and fall even harder for the characters!

I am reading Wolfe Hall, by Hilary Mantel - I must read everything she has written: brilliant stuff.
Anyway, I just came across this glorious line: Thomas Cromwell speaking with King Henry VIII, "“No ruler in the history of the world has ever been able to afford a war. They’re not affordable things."
And I wish we had a Thomas Cromwell today, who would have the courage to speak truth to power.
My gods, this book!
"Embrace diversity.
Unite--

robbed,
ruled,
killed
By those who see you as prey.
Embrace diversity
Or be destroyed."

Okay. Calling all paranormal writers. This is to good to just pass by.
I'm curious as to how I am paying more for a Kindle version of a book than I used to pay for the hard copy, just to not even actually own it?
Currently reading the Hamish Macbeth series by M.C. Beaton and greatly enjoying how she ensures you thoroughly dislike the victim prior to their demise.
