I've been slacking off on my extra-curricular reading the last few months. Got to
work on changing that.
Last night, I finally completed C. Fred Alford's "After the Holocaust: The Book of Job, Primo Levi, and the Path to Affliction"
It's a multi-disciplinary study on the themes within the Book of Job, testimony
from survivors of the Holocaust(in this case, specifically, Levi) within a
framework of psychology & Continental philosophy. A favored type of
'light' reading, for me. Good stuff.
While not terribly full of sunshine, lollipops, and rainbows, I did
manage to glimpse a few shards of light, and perhaps hope, as in this passage:
