Ain't that just typical!!! What pisses me off even more is that in SA medical aids are non profit organisations, so this increase feels even more egregious!!

So looks like I am not the only one with incorrect tax certificates from Bonitas Medical Aid!

If you are with them check your tax certificate!!! Does the January increase reflect in December? If so they are claiming to SARS you paid 3x the higher rate (Dec, Jan & Feb) when it should only be Jan & Feb!!!

Momentous day: After 25 years with #DiscoveryHealth Medical Aid/Insurance I've ditched them for #Bonitas. Mostly brought on by Discovery dropping the medical savings by R3,000pa (we'll be a bit short next year then).

So Bonitas gives nearly double the medical savings at the same cost. Suppose I was locked into the illusions of big Vitality discounts and 20% off at Takealot etc.

Life will be simpler now and less stress over funds running out... Change can benefit.
