Looks like a bee, but this is mimicry.

The large bee-flies (Bombylus major) are always fun to watch. Their proboscis appears to be almost as long as the fly itself.

I love hummingbird flies, they are amazing at maneuvering in flight and staying still in one place.
These and other species of the family play a fundamental role in the pollination of plant species whose flowers are "inaccessible" to other insects.
