I've been thinking about Bohemian waxwings recently because their arrival brings color to our dreary late fall and early winter landscapes. It's something I always look forward to. Last year they were few and far between, but I saw and heard quite a few of them in October and November.

But I don't have many photos of waxwings. The one you see is one of my first photos from October 2022. Although I have a "better" camera and lens now, I realized I have not taken better photos of waxwings since then. Hmm... Maybe...

Perhaps the most photogenic bird in the Netherlands... That is, if it is in the Netherlands.
This is the #BohemianWaxwing a bird that spent most of it's time up North... In Scandinavia, Northern Russia etc. During the Winter season they eat preferably berries but if there aren’t enough berries for some reason... They’ll fly south to us... And one thing is certain... They love our berries as well😜
