Tummies are full, gifts are unwrapped, kids are happy, now it's time to relax on the couch until the next family meal tomorrow. 🫄🏻
𝗛𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗮𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗣𝗶𝘅𝗲𝗹𝗳𝗲𝗱 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲, 𝗶𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲! 🎄 Do you have any Christmas traditions?
In our family, we kick off Christmas by watching The Muppet Christmas Carol at my in-laws around noon on
#Christmas Eve (this was the 23rd time for me). Then we have an early afternoon lunch of breaded carp with potatoes and sauerkraut (don't lift your plates just yet, because Santa's left a little money underneath, and you're only supposed to find it after the meal!). After that, we brace for the children's excitement and unwrap gifts. Later, we head to my parents' place, who only live 10 minutes away from my in-laws. More food, more gifts, and then we all gather on the couch to chat, drink, snack, and watch TV. Which is exactly where we are now.
Tomorrow, it's turkey time at my in-laws, and on the 26th, we're at my parents again with my aunt's family. And then, the madness is over.
