I've been procrastinating on sealing this up until I was confident I was doing it right. It should now be confidently watertight, and without tooo much mess to clean up when it comes time for finishing.

Today, I am mostly swotting up on the theory, tools, and techniques of cutting a rabbit (rebate) in a big boat's keel timber to shape it for fitting frames to the keel and then planks to the frames.

Part of today has been spend preparing and fitting the aft seat top ready to be glued in place in the next couple of days. It will have an inspection port fitted, and then create a water tight bouyancy chamber.

This is the rear of the boat, and this section will soon be covered over to make a seat and bouyancy chamber. One of the round white ports from the previous photo will provide inspection access, mostly to check it doesn't have water in it.
