There is significant under-representation of Black and Asian trustees and chairs on charity boards in the UK. Board Racial Diversity UK (previously Action For Trustee Racial Diversity UK) seeks to evidence experiences of individuals from Black and Asian backgrounds who are current and aspiring charity trustees. We are keen to gather insight into the barriers, challenges and needs that current and aspiring trustees of Black and Asian heritage experience, to become and/or remain as charity trustees. We would therefore appreciate current and aspiring trustees of Black and/or Asian heritage completing this short questionnaire, to share their experiences with us. The questionnaire should take roughly 5-10 minutes to complete, and is anonymous. Responses will only be used for the purpose of this research, and will be protected by GDPR and other data protection regulations. Your response will help us to support charities to recruit and retain trustees from Black and Asian backgrounds. As a thank-you for participating, you can also be entered into a prize draw to win a £50 voucher. Details for this can be found at the end of the survey. #Cybersecurity is no longer just an IT issue, it’s a business risk that #CEOs and #Boards must own. As regulatory pressure mounts and cyber threats grow more disruptive, Boards must evolve their oversight strategies to integrate cybersecurity into core business decisions, or risk failing in their fiduciary duties.
In my latest article I discuss how the Board and CEO can establish a framework for the inclusion of cyber risks into business planning. This article is a complement to a previous article discussing how CISOs must adapt as they communicate with CEOs and Boards, providing them valuable business information, without the technical jargon, and in ways that can be easily incorporated by senior leadership as part of their organizational business decisions.
