This one sat in the backlog for a while, and I’m really happy we finally got it to the table. Everdell is a beautifully illustrated, multi-award-winning game with a unique blend of worker placement and tableau-building mechanics. Designed by James A. Wilson and published by Starling Games, it offers a satisfying seasonal rhythm and a charming world full of critters and constructions.

So yesterday I played two games of 7 wonders.
Finished last, and finished first (see picture of my board).

Tonight was Mordheim night.

I playtested my 2d6 mordheim rules and there is a load to fix because it makes the game longer which is a bit meh. And also reduce the intesity, which is what I want, but it is too predictable now it feel.

I also charged a kroxigor into a 3 henchmen using spear, with 2 attacks each and basically not managed to get an attack even when charging.
Kroxigor ended up out of action.
Kroxigor rolled a 2.
Kroxigor is now gone.

I think the "oh lizardmen are too powerful" is really a urban legend because they feel broken if you don't play them spamming skinks with bolas/darts.
Also I think that just text for the rules doesn't work for Lizardmen: their poison is the worse poison, the hero upgrades are so restrictive, the krox is a henchmen etc.

Anyway, next game I'll bring some rats to the table.
I'm sure it is less broken and I'll be able to play the models I want to play.

'Forest Shuffle' is a beautifully illustrated, strategic card game where you build a thriving forest ecosystem. Designed by Kosch and published by Lookout Games, each multi-use card blends clever decision-making and deep strategy, earning it the 2024 Deutscher Spiele Preis. 'Forest Shuffle' offers a rich, thematic experience that challenges players to think critically about resource management and ecological balance.

'Point City' is a card-drafting, engine-building game designed by Molly Johnson, Robert Melvin, and Shawn Stankewich (creators of the popular 'Point Salad' and the upcoming 'Point Galaxy') and published by Flatout Games. Expanding on the mechanics of its predecessor, 'Point City' blends tactical decisions and strategic planning, yet is compact enough to fit within a 30 minute playtime. Looking forward to the next in the series!
