House had an appointment for its annual check today; I wrecked myself preparing for it. The technician just phoned to suggest a postponement, and I'm relieved: not for me, but for him. An afternoon of 95 km/hr winds are not the time to be on a roof.

The rain finally came in this morning, but the afternoon was walkable if you don't mind a bit of bluster. Choppy seas and lovely crashing waves; the cloud dragons just about won their game, but there were some surprise vapour trails with lighting from above the cloud layer. The Concord River has flooded, and both ends of the dike trail that cross the impound are under water. No birds out this afternoon, maybe because in spite of sun and pretty clouds it was low 20°s F wind chill - there were white caps in the impound. #getoutside #greatmeadows #Concord #River #blusteryday
