I'm bothered by the inherent power imbalance. 250.000 euros is A LOT of money for a FOSS team, but for Anthropic it's less than nothing. If they dropped 250.000 euros it would cost them more money to stop work for a second and pick it up back up, then to just keep going.

Anthropic gives Blender money, Blender develops LLM connectivity into the software. It's a first-party addon, for now. But we all know that LLM companies are not satisfied until every application on every computer runs their malware, so IMO they will push for it to be included in the main blender application further down the line. With monetary incentives.
