This is also a professional single-needle lockstitch machine, but I bought it specifically because it also does zigzag stitches. I use it as a bartack machine, for instance to attach belt loops.
To do a bartack, I sew a straight stitch and reverse back to the starting point. Then I do a zigzag stitch over the double line of stitches. The result is the same as when done on a bartack machine, but the great advantage is that I can make the bartacks as short or as long as I want.
