I keep trying to watch #BloodRiver but I can't get through an entire episode. I've sort of squeaked through the 1st 2 episodes by falling asleep.
Am I the only person who thinks this #cdrama is that bad? Does it get better?

27-Feb: Most memorable umbrella scene?
Here's another memorable one.

It took me a while to find a non-spoilery pic, but this end battle is _really_ looking good. Cheesy at some parts, maybe, but overall on the top five among the xianxia C-dramas I've seen. I'm even ready to forgive the slow first fifteen episodes, and _that's_ an achievement!
You know what, my reflex is that the giant fight avatars should stand in the same vat of light they emerge from. _But_ having them stand on the ground like normal persons (albeit with flames licking their bodies) is an excellent choice. This is a lull in the battle, and you both get a feel for that and the avatars' humungous size.
This eunuch just gave Epic Side Eye a face!
(If I can I'll give him a design breakdown - his looks are awesome - but he's on screen for seconds at most so I have a hard time finding the right moment.)
For a long time, at least in Swedish pop culture, scary and sometimes evil characters had yellow eyes. In C-drama I've noticed this often goes for _blue_ eyes. History considered this feels a bit more correct.

When someone says this, expect them to cover up a fumble the size of flattening mount Taishan. Keep this sentence in your pocket, storyteller friends - it's _very_ useful!
