A couple of weeks ago, I saw a reference to "A Gaelic Blessing," which is a choral piece that was originally a poem.

The repeated words "deep peace" are followed by some of the most calming images in nature -- a running wave, the shining stars, the gentle night, the flowing air. You're taking into those images as you listen, and you feel the intent behind the words in the part of you still connected with the earth.

It's all really just arranged to both soothe and sort of tear you a little bit apart.

Deep peace of the running wave to you,
Deep peace of the flowing air to you,
Deep peace of the quiet earth to you,
Deep peace of the sleeping stones to you

Moon and stars pour their healing light on you.
