I'm experimenting to see if I can buy a fixed focal length compact. The challenge here is to stay at 28mm while shooting candid street portraits. You have to get very close to people, keeping the camera at stomach level so as not to attract attention. On this session, I stayed with speed priority despite the lack of light to try and freeze the movements. Technically, for me the learning curve was a success. But I have to admit that in terms of artistic expression, I see very little interest in this practice.
