Beyonce is the first Black woman to win AOTY since Lauryn Hill in 1999.
For 26 years, no Black women won and folks are STILL mad STILL that a Black woman won last night. After TWENTY SIX YEARS. And calling it “rigged” and “bought”. It’s impossible to believe a Black woman— even Beyonce— could be worthy.
