Still unsuccessfully plugging away at my garden. I have a rogue poppy, a rogue geranium, no echinacea, no lavender, no sage, no cilantro. I don't even have gomphrena even though I got seedlings to sprout three times. I'm gonna make them happen I swear.

All I have are the plants I've always had, and the random alyssum I bought from the hardware store on a whim and three of nine lettuce. Oh and the grocery store mint I saved because my grow anywhere mint didn't survive.

I have more seeds here, so I'm gonna keep trying. Something will grow here. I've ordered native to the region seeds which I will pick up this weekend.

The only time I can't grow anything is during the rainy season, when everything should be established. My goal now is to get anything to that point so it doesnt die between February and April.

I should have stuck to houseplants.

Dismal Gardener mowed the front garden and took a few photographs to show off his #BlackThumb handicraft. This one was oddly underexposed byt rescued in Luminar Neo. You can see our new shrubs. They are finally looking established. Can't say much for our "perennial border” that seems to die when looked at crosswise. And he can't even blame us.

I bought Mom a poinsettia for Christmas; now all I have to do is keep it alive till Sunday.

I'm actually concerned about this. I started the year with five houseplants and I'm down to two and one isn't doing that great.

I've killed a cactus

Mom with her Alzheimer's is still better at keeping plants than I am, she has a 50+ year old philodendron named Zeke

Does anyone have any advice for growing An Tomato Plant? I feel like the Universe is telling me to do this.

My mom often had them when I was growing up, so I know they need a lot of sun, and a cage to support them, but what about when they are wee babbins? How big of a pot will a plant need? Do I need any special kind of fertilizer?
