'Obsessed' is probably too stronger word. But when you live in a country without lions, tigers, bears or any large mammals you delight in what you have. And it's hard to not fall in love with a parrot that gets drunk on fermented berries and falls over. And don't start me on kiwis.. We are unnaturally proud of our small, flightless, nocturnal friend.
