To those with pet birds, avoid making a fatal mistake this holiday season. Don't use anything with Teflon near your birds! Putting them in another room is NOT enough.
Teflon can be in anything - oven bags, slow cooker bags, self-cleaning ovens, nonstick cookware, air fryers, air popcorn poppers, space heaters, etc. Check it before you use it!

For all y'all that like to dress your house up for #halloween - The fake spider web stuff is dangerous to birds. Their little feeties can get stuck in it and they end up strangling themselves to death, dying from hunger, or cutting off circulation in their toes.
If you are gonna decorate your house, avoid the fake webs.
Now that its getting colder out remember that not all heaters are bird safe. A lot of space heaters are coated with teflon which gives off toxic fumes.
Some safe heaters are ceramic, oil filled, and some infrared. When in doubt, ask the manufacturer.
