BIRDCAGE is a hybrid across time. On one hand, it’s as flashy as the best of 1990s #shmup s, with jamming music, striking visuals, and frenetic action. No matter how crowded the arcade is, you’re going to notice it. But its design philosophy is like a modern #Soulsborne game. It’s hard, and you’re going to have to ”#GitGud”, but the game fundamentally wants you to succeed and is meticulously laying out challenges to teach you the way.

Alles wat nu de overhand heeft in de USA wordt er subliem aan de kaak gesteld. Zeer passend gecast, met een hoofdrol voor Robin Williams op zijn best (en met wat we nu weten over hem, een beetje trieste lading). Anyway, een lach, een traan, en een heleboel heerlijke camp😍

I just cleared the hardcore #shump #BIRDCAGE and I'm having trouble believing I did it. I've never beat a game like this before, and I didn't think I was good enough yet.

But somehow, I didn't tense up thinking about how hard this was and just reacted.

It feels like I'm having a religious moment where the grand epiphany was that I was good enough all along.
