Wanted to get in some fun (and extreme) biplane aerobatics tonight in the #XPlane #flightsim Waco, but got a little too crazy and augered into the ground.
What followed is the longest "ride" I have taken in an X-Plane crash, it went on for-EVER. This is just a quick snip from it. I eventually had to quit the sim to make it stop.
But the Waco is built tough and stayed together despite the pounding.
This hour's random desktop background on my #MacbookPro is this great shot (not mine) of Addison Pemberton's vintage Speedmail biplane.
If you ever find yourself near Felts Field in #Spokane, WA, look up the Pembertons and their incredible restoration shop. I was told long ago that visitors are welcome.
I wrote an "In Depth" article for Flying Magazine on this crew. They are awesome.

My little desk airport has a big visitor today. Parked on the “ramp” outside the Ryan Flying Co. hangar is the “World’s Largest 1931 Stearman” in Texaco livery.
