Billy Wilder – „Sabrina“ (1954)

Seit meiner Kindheit ist Bogart mein Kino-Schutzpatron. Die Stimme, dieser Gang, dieses Gesicht, das immer schon wusste, wie die ganze Welt funktioniert – oder zumindest, warum sie es nicht tat. Dieser Bogart der nie wirklich „nett“ war. Aber immer korrekt, respekteinflößend, manchmal bedrohlich, manchmal mysteriös. Da war dieser Film ein echter Schock für mein cineastisches Nervensystem. Einer, der sich – und das ist das heimtückisch Gemeine daran – mit jedem Wiedersehen mehr als großes Vergnügen entblößt. Dieser Bogart ist einfach eine gigantische Fehlbesetzung. Und gleichzeitig der einzige Grund, warum er noch funktioniert. (ARTE, Wh.)
