Horton Bay General Store

The Horton Bay General Store is located in Northern Michigan and is located on the Boyne City/Charlevoix Road in the village of Horton Bay. The village is so small that most people might not even know that they are in a village as the population of Horton Bay is a big 38 living souls.
Ernest Hemmingway spent a good portion of his youth in Horton Bay and he wrote three books about it.

Clouds Over the Valley

So many time I've gone to the valley. So many times I've seen a clear blue sky as I round the turn just before this turnout in the road. So many times I've pulled over here and taken pictures that are beautiful, yet they look just like everyone else's.

Meet Cali. She is a gentle dog that just loves to run and play and I think she is in her own personal heaven when she is out on a hike.
The only thing that is not safe from her are birds and squirrels as those are her favorite to chase after.
She spends all of her waking time either trying to please or trying to be petted.

The Pt. Reyes Muted

I love playing with this particular subject. The boat has been slowing deteriorating for as long as I can remember. I first shot this boat a few years ago and tend to stop every time I go out to Point Reyes.
I removed the color from the boat so that I could isolate it against the green rolling hills and the blue sky of the Marin County countryside.
