The mission is to create happier, healthier and greener lives through cycling, inspiring more people to experience its benefits. 

Whether you cycle every day, ride occasionally or have not been on a bike in years, Bike Week is for you. 

And that’s a wrap on #BikeWeek 2026!

What an action-packed, fun-filled week of cycling for first-time cyclists to seasoned pros.

This #BikeWeek, in the last feature on family friendly cycling in Offaly and its surrounds, we're highlighting the @OldRailTrailMullingar

The Old Rail Trail is a 40km purpose built off-road shared pedestrian and cycleway trail, along a disused railway track from Garrycastle to Mullingar. Generally flat with a smooth surface and some gentle slopes, this trail is ideal for family groups of all ages, and all types of bikes.

This #BikeWeek, in the fourth feature on family friendly cycling in Offaly, we're highlighting the Grand Canal Greenway, a purpose built off-road 65km shared pedestrian and cycleway trail, along the Grand Canal from Edenderry to Shannonharbour.

Generally flat with a smooth surface, this trail is ideal for family groups and all bike types.
