Visited my mother at her nursing home in late afternoon. Delivered fresh fruits and snacks. Met her in her 2nd floor room. She was good.

Took the regular route along 2 rivers back home. Although I kept intensity low throughout. I felt good and strong till the end. I guess my body has recovered fully from the blood donation. #running #bikepath

Skipped a workout yesterday due to the chilly wet weather. It was cloudy, but a little warmer today. I went out to the bike path along river around the sunset. Ran 13.2 km super easy. I was sluggish throughout.

施設の母に面会

風が強かったけど、この時期としては異常に暖かい日。21度を超えていた。ペットボトルの水を持って家を出た。スーパーで果物とおやつを調達してから面会。母は元気にしていた。

少し長めに走りたかったので、一旦北に向ってから自転車道に入る。途中で梅林の花に見とれていて、足元の石に躓いて転倒、ひざをうった他、両掌と右肩に擦り傷。幸いにも過去の事故で粉砕した右ひじは無事だった。再び走ろうとしたが、右ひざに違和感があったので、大事をとって残りの6キロ強、早歩きで帰宅した。

家に戻ってシャワー浴びて、傷口をきれいにした。右ひざは軽い打ち身。右手の薬指と小指は突き指したようだ。でも、擦り傷は浅く、大した事はなさそう。1～2日様子をみて、ランニングは再開できそうだ。

Over 21C°, an extremely warm day for this time of year. Visited my mother at her nursing home in the afternoon. She was good and had the milk pudding which I brought.

Ran to the north, then enter the bike path. I did not pay attention to the road when I admired the plum flowers, I stumbled and fell. I scraped the right knee, shoulder, both palms on the ground. Nothing was serious, but I felt mild knee pain when I tried running. Just to be safe, I walked 6 km to home.

Time and time again it has been PROVEN that bike lanes and care for pedestrians turns out to be highly profitable.

Visited my mother at her nursing home in late afternoon. Stopped by at a supermarket on the way and got her fresh fruits and snacks. I met her in her room. She was good and ate a cup of milk pudding quickly.

Took my regular route along 2 rivers back home. The daylight hours are getting longer. I did not need my headlamp until the last couple of miles. Ran 14.6 km total at my comfortable slow pace till the end.

#Melbourne #BikePath #cycling hazards, Jan 2026 edition. Feral looking guy pushing a supermarket trolley full of crap down the middle of the path in Oakleigh, I slowed, rang my bell, called out "on your right". So he then spun the trolley 90 degrees to be sideways across as much of the path as possible and kept walking square down the centre line. I slowed even more, pulled as far over as possible and started to go past and he slammed the trolley sideways into my thigh and shoved me off the path, yelling "F'ing on my f'ing right f'ya". Managed to stay upright, rode off through the dirt and called him a few choice words

I've been thinking about this photo for a while. I'll try again tomorrow either later or with a stronger ND filter so I can do a longer exposure to make the light trail go all the way. It feels a bit awkward when the light trail abruptly ends when exposure ends. There weren't many riders; there were way more runners. Not surprising since it's cold. So I set a timer and rode myself to make the light trail, hoping nobody would steal my camera. #nyc #hudson #cycling #bikepath #photography #longexposure #darktable
