We just went on the annual bike ride along the route of the nightly Crow 🐦⬛ Commute in #Vancouver
It intersects with a major bike path
They’d have to see if the new spot is as well served by alternative human transportation
The new section of bike lane on the northwest corner of Esplanade St and Chesterfield Ave is almost finished. However, it was closed earlier this week while landscaping was being installed.
I’m still gathering my thoughts on vibe coding. To see if there is a difference between $work tools and and competitors I built a small website for a personal niche with Claude code. If anyone is into biking and skiing in around Vancouver https://www.vbss.ca might be helpful.
It’s still rough, I need to spend a bit more time figuring out to get a decent search - I’ve built a 2gb set of vectors using a local embedding model and MLX but it doesn’t fit on a 1gb/1vcpu VPS so I need to experiment with PCA and quantization, plus fix bugs.
The Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival will be presenting “Bike Night” on March 7th at the Centennial Theatre.
See https://vimff.org/show/bike-night/ for more details.
HUB Cycling’s North Shore Committee will be hosting a table prior to the show and we would love to see you there.
Another person who doesn’t know how to use “begs the question”. (Video via Anthony Floyd at HUB. Comment, all mine.)
